Frequently Asked Questions
How much do you cost?
That is probably the first question almost everyone ask me.
Consider this however, is price really the only
factor in choosing your DJ? Sure there are lots of DJs that charge
very little. If a DJ thinks his service is only worth $50 per night,
do you really want him?
To answer this question directly, many factors go into our pricing for a
given event. The best option is to call us or request a quote.
How long have you been in business?
Complete Music has been in business since 1973, but, locally, Complete
Music has been serving the Scottsbluff/Gering, Panhandle of Nebraska,
Colorado and Wyoming area since 1981. Dan Telford, the co-owner and
local manager, has been with Complete Music for over 14 years. During
that time we can boasts of THOUSANDS of happy clients.
How can I tell if
a DJ business is legitimate or "amateurs posing as professionals"?
- Contracts: If the DJ doesn't have them,
don't book them.
- Insurance: Liability insurance does not
dictate the quality of the DJ, but does point to his level of
professionalism.
- Training: When was the last time you hired a
doctor, lawyer, plumber, or mechanic that was "self taught"? Can
you name a profession that doesn't at least require initial or ongoing
training?
- References: A quality DJ should be able to
provide client references, but don't forget about the hall
managers. They have probably seen about every service in the area.
Ask the manager where you're having your event who they recommend and
why?
Is your music licensed?
Yes, our music comes from sources that are specifically authorized to license music for Mobile
DJs.
When do we do the planning?
We typically like to have the dance planner 30-45 days prior to your
event. The DJ for your event will contact you the week of your event
to go over the details.
Can we meet in person?
We would be happy to meet with you personally, however, this area of the
country is very rural and scattered out. If you are coming to
Scottsbluff, we can attempt to make a meeting. Obviously, if you live
near Scottsbluff, making an appointment is much easier.
Who will be my DJ?
The easiest answer is the one the best suits your crowd. Some
clients are more concerned with the specific Dj than others. We rely
on our clients to let us know whether they want to be involved in the
scheduling of their DJ or not. Priority is given to DJ Generated
Bookings followed by DJ Requests. For an explanation of the difference
please email or call us. Either way, remember that our DJs are
trained, skilled, professionals.
